Rosstache Raises Over $8,000 for Orchards Children's Services

Nearly 100 of the hairiest men in the B-school met at Scorekeepers Bar & Grill to settle, once and for all, who had the best moustache at Ross. The moustaches were judged in several categories by Christina Daniels from Woodbury Gardens Apartments (this year's title sponsor), Bob Blumenfeld from Orchards Children's Services (this year's charity), and Rosstache alumnus Ben Johnson.
The night's festivities started with Josh Nothwang taking home the trophy for Top Money Raiser for bringing in over $400 in donations. Mike Elzahr took the honors for Best Porn Star Stache while Mark Link was deemed the Best Redneck. Those who were there will not soon forget Grant Summers' Best Absentia Stache and Purvi Ravani's Best Female Supporter of Rosstache Vanity Fair picture entry which was both hilarious and disturbing.
Not surprisingly, Brian Harley laid waste to the competition for the Best Creepy Stache trophy. The crowd was then treated to a special event while Sergio Laprade-Velasco was stripped of his long-held goatee thanks to supporters raising over $150. Finally, the night climaxed with the Best in Show judging when Bryan McCoy, one of the Stachetrust, took the trophy with his Reno 911 Lieutenant Dangle uniform with shorts so tight they made the crowd blush.
The Stache Trust (Chris Aurner, Steve Brown, and Bryan McCoy) would like to thank everyone for participating and making this a record year. Through the efforts of the 107 MBA men that participated this year and all those who donated on their behalf we were able to raise over $8,000 for charity - more than the past two years of Rosstache combined! Special thanks to Aaron Heidel for his work planning and coordinating events, Ryan Baxter for developing and maintaining the website, and Vicky Escrojin who was the official Rosstache 2008 photographer.
Bob Blumenfeld from Orchards Children's Services expressed his deepest thanks for all the men who participated in Rosstache and for those who supported them with donations. We would also like to thank Woodbury Gardens Apartments and Townhomes, SC Johnson's Edge Shave Gel, and everyone that helped make this the best and biggest Rosstache yet!
