Quinton, or as his dad refers to him, Bandit, had several schools in mind but upon hearing about the Ross Burt Reynolds Club and its annual charity fundraiser, Rosstache, Quinton says it was an easy decision. "I think I can make a real impact at Ross, especially by helping raise funds for local charities by growing out my mustache," contends Quinton.
Born in Lansing, Michigan, Burt Reynolds is excited to have his son returning to his home state and enjoyed a private tour last Friday of the new but unfinished building compliments of Dean Dolan. "When I was approached by the guys at Rosstache last month, I knew this was a special place. I told 'em I'd like to help out Orchards Children's Services (this year's charity) however I could," states Mr. Reynolds. According to Chris Aurner, part of the Rosstache exec team, "Burt has agreed to match every dollar we raise and has agreed to be on hand for the judging on Thursday, April 3rd at Scorekeepers."
"My only beef with this place is with that Dean Dolan." says Mr. Reynolds "He seems like a great guy but I don't respect any man who doesn't have a mustache. A mustache does a lot for a man. For example, I bet if he were to grow a mustache, I'm sure he'd get a lot more respect from all those construction workers and they'd be done with that building in no time. On the other hand, that white haired dude with the great 'stache in the cafeteria - I like him a lot."
Burt and Quinton have been staying at a townhouse at Woodbury Gardens, the title sponsor of Rosstache, and will be extending their stay through mid April to attend GBR. "I sure hope he signs my poster!" exclaimed a quivering Soojin Koh.
Over 100 MBA men have been growing out their mustaches since March 4th. Rosstache 2008 will come to a close on Thursday, April 3rd with a judging ceremony during RSA Happy Hour. Women are invited to participate by purchasing a fake mustache ($5 donation) and submitting their best mustachioed picture for a chance to win the Best Female Supporter of Rosstache trophy. Rosstache will be collecting donations and selling fake mustaches and t-shirts in the Exec Res lobby Monday through Wednesday from 11:00AM - 2:00PM.
