The Blue Door Charity Art Auction event, now in its sixth year, was developed by Ross students as a means to raise funds for Ann Arbor Art Makers, a local summer program serving disadvantaged youth. The original inspiration and name for the event suggest the effort will literally "open doors" for these students who might otherwise lack the opportunity to pursue an education in the visual arts.
This year's event features an exhibition of paintings, drawings, mixed media collages, lithographic prints, deeds, and artifacts created and donated by over twenty of your business school classmates and community members. All works on display will be auctioned to the highest bidder.
Tickets for the event ($25 each) will be on sale Monday through Thursday of this week (Feb. 11-14) from 12:00-2:00PM in the Executive Residence Lounge. The event will be held at the Ann Arbor Art Center, 117 W. Liberty, Ann Arbor on Friday, February 15th from 7:00-10:00PM. Wine and hors d'oeuvres will be served.
Don't miss the premier wine event this winter! For more information, or to donate artwork for the auction, write to: bluedoorauction@umich.edu.
